There are few furniture requirements within a room because it is a machine room and not particularly suitable for human occupancy.

However there are usually some control PCs that require some attention and some isolated small items such as modems, which need somewhere to sit.

Computer room space is extremely expensive and so it is often more cost effective to build a shelf and a wall mounted worktop for such items, rather than just wheel in a desk or table.
