Status Alarms |
Status indicators
and alarms located inside the computer room
and its associated plant rooms are mimicked
inside the operators’ area. See Computer
Rooms, or Server/Telecoms
to find out more about the alarms.
Where control staff are not always inside either
the machine room or bridge/control room, an
alarm message can be transmitted to a pager,
mobile telephone or the like.
Whilst some equipment, such as the UPS, might
be remotely monitored, the operations facility
still needs to receive any alarm message from
that equipment.
Bespoke indicator panels are usually constructed
to gather together all the services alarms together.
Software is also available to similarly collect
services status information and display or transmit
it as required. |
